Adult Religious Education at Kennett Meeting
Sundays 9:45 - 10:45, September through May
Adult Education is a centering of the intellectual and the spiritual work aimed at transforming ourselves, our group, our communities and the world. Adult Education nurtures the life and witness of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) Kennett Monthly Meeting through study. We hope to be impacted by and to impact the way we worship, the work we do, and the service we engage in. We welcome all members, attenders and visitors.
We offer to each other the rare opportunity to step back from contemporary culture, reflect on our lives and our relationship with the Divine, and prepare for renewed witness in the world.
Adult Education realizes its purpose through educational offerings and through the belief that every member is a learner and every member is a teacher. We encourage each person to follow their leadings to share and teach. We continue to learn that we have much to teach each other and celebrate the richness of members teaching members.
Please consider becoming increasingly active in the Adult Education processes:
- Suggest a subject or issue.
- Recommend material to be used as a base of an Adult education gathering.
- Help design and facilitate an Adult Education class.
- Suggest and or invite and coordinate a guest speaker.
- Attend in order to teach and learn as moved.
- Bring a neighbor or friend to participate.
